The Trudeau Liberals just gave $12 million to Loblaws.

Loblaws is Canada’s largest grocery chain, with revenue totalling $46.7 billion last year.  It is owned by the Westons, Canada’s second richest family with a net worth of $13.2 billion.

We think this money would be better spent:

  • Building 80 new playgrounds

  • Providing 1,376,147 school lunches

  • Paying for 2000 students’ yearly tuition

  • Installing 16,000 solar panels

  • Seismically upgrading local schools

  • Sending 64,865 children to summer camp

  • Building houses for 40 local families

  • Building a new community centre

  • Providing dental care for 24,000 seniors

  • Creating 1,714 new child care spaces
